District Candidate Positions & Filings for the May 20, 2025 Special District Election

The following positions will appear on the May 20, 2025 ballot. To file for a position, a person must be an elector of that district or zone. District specific qualifications are noted below. Filing of candidacy is by declaration ($10 fee) or by petition (obtaining 25 valid signatures or 10% of voters residing within your district or zone, whichever is less). The required forms are available at the Deschutes County Clerk’s Office, 1300 NW Wall Street, Ste 202, Bend, Oregon, or on our website at www.deschutes.org/clerk/page/may-20-2025-special-district-election. The filing deadline is March 20, 2025 at 5 pm.

Community College District

Central Oregon Community College District:
(Candidate must be a registered voter in zone; candidates are elected by zone.)

  • Zone 1, 4 Year Term: Precincts 14, 15, 22, 30, and 45. Portion of Precincts 18 and 48. (Includes Jefferson & Wasco counties).
  • Zone 2, 4 Year Term: Precincts 12 and 41. Portion of Precincts 18, 19, 21, 43, and 48. (Includes Crook county).​
