Citizen Input
Citizen Input
During the Citizen Input section of the Board's business meeting agendas (typically held on Wednesdays), the public is welcome to provide comment to the Board on any topic that is not on the current agenda.
If you would like to provide input, you can:
- Attend a meeting in person
- Attend a meeting virtually
- Email citizeninput@deschutes.org
- Call (541) 385-1734 to leave a voicemail message
Residents are allowed up to three minutes to provide testimony. Messages (both voicemail and email) need to be received by 12:00 noon on Tuesday to be included in the record on the next Wednesday meeting where the topic is not already included on the agenda. Staff will place your comments into the record.
What’s the testimony process?
If you're providing in-person testimony during a meeting, please sign up to testify on a blue form that is provided near the door of the meeting room. Note the topic you will address. This helps the Chair put similar topics together.
Speak directly into the microphone so you can be heard. State your name and address to begin testifying.
Board meetings allow public testimony but are not a forum for discussions or answering questions.
