Deschutes County Hires New Chief Financial Officer
Deschutes County has hired Greg Munn as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Munn, who will join the County in late June, replaces Wayne Lowry who is retiring after serving as the Deschutes County Finance Director for the past six years.
Munn has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for the High Desert Education Service District for the past 13 years. He also served as an interim Business Manager for the Crook County School District, Finance Manager for Clark County, Washington and Financial Analyst for the Port of Portland. Munn earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from Central Washington University.
“Greg has demonstrated his abilities as a high level financial manager throughout his tenure with the High Desert Education Service District,” said Deschutes County Administrator Tom Anderson. “We look forward to having him join our team and seeing him build on the strong foundation that retiring Finance Director Wayne Lowry has established.”
As Deschutes County’s Chief Financial Officer, Munn will direct the County’s finance, accounting, tax collection, and payroll functions. He will also serve as the County Tax Collector and the Tax Administrator for the County’s Transient Room Tax Ordinance.
