Tax Office shares property tax payment options

New Drop Box

On Friday, the Deschutes County Tax office mailed close to 10,800 tax statements to property owners who have payments due by May 15. The State of Oregon has not extended the trimester deadline in light of COVID-19.

To protect the health of our public and our employees during the current COVID-19 pandemic, Deschutes County is limiting public access to County offices, effective until at least May 1.

We ask that residents who need to make third-trimester payments consider the following payment options:

  • Payments can be made online. Please be advised, you will be charged a convenience fee by our online payment service provider.

  • We have a new drive-thru drop box in front of the Deschutes Services Building at 1300 NW Wall Street in Bend. The dropbox is available 24 hours a day. (See attached map.)

  • If you normally pay with cash, we recommend you purchase a money order or cashier’s check. Mail your money order or cashier’s check along with your payment coupon in the return envelope provided with your statement.

  • If you need to make a cash payment, visit 1300 NW Wall Street and call (541) 388-6540 upon arrival. A staff member will receive your payment at the front door.

For additional information, visit www.deschutes.org/tax or call (541) 388-6540.
