REQUEST FOR BIDS

NEGUS TRANSFER STATION PRE-ENGINEERED METAL BUILDING

The County is soliciting bids for the procurement of a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) package through a building manufacturer. The PEMB scope of work consists of pre-design, coordination, permitting, cost estimating, fabrication, and delivery of a PEMB structure that will house operations for the transfer of municipal solid waste received at the County’s Negus Transfer Station, located in Redmond, Oregon. This bid does not include building erection. The PEMB is part of a larger overall site improvement and construction project currently being designed by an Engineering and Architectural Consultant team. The Consultant team is contracted separately with the County and the overall project is at the Schematic Design milestone.

In general, the services to be provided include:

• PEMB design, coordination, and permitting
• PEMB fabrication and delivery, to be provided following the selection of the project General Contractor using overall construction schedule milestones. Milestones are to be determined

The Request for Bids may be obtained or examined at the Deschutes County Bids/RFPs webpage at https://www.deschutes.org/rfps.

A mandatory virtual pre-bid meeting will be held on 3:00 pm Tuesday, August 10, 2021. A link will be emailed to all registered plan holders 24 hours prior to the pre-bid meeting.

Bidders must submit a complete and original set of Bid Proposal and Bid Schedule forms that are included in the Request for Bids document by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Deschutes County Department of Solid Waste office, 61050 S.E. 27th Street, Bend, Oregon 97702.  Proposals should be addressed to Chad Centola, Interim Director. Bids may be submitted in person or by mail and must be received by the Department of Solid Waste by the due date and time specified above. E-mail or facsimile proposals will not be accepted.
