REQUEST FOR BIDS
YARD DEBRIS AND WOOD WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES

Deschutes County Department of Solid Waste is soliciting bids to provide grinding and transportation services for the management of yard debris and wood waste collected at the County’s solid waste facilities. In general, the services include:

• Periodic grinding of yard debris from the County’s rural transfer stations and transportation of the ground material to Knott Landfill in Bend, Oregon
• Annual grinding of yard debris collected at Knott Landfill from the County’s FireFree collection event
• Periodic grinding and transportation of wood waste collected at the Negus Transfer Station in Redmond, Oregon to a contractor designated wood waste management facility

The Request for Bids may be obtained or examined at the Deschutes County Department of Solid Waste offices at the address listed below or viewed at https://www.deschutes.org/rfps.

Bids must be submitted on forms included in the Request for Bids and must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Deschutes County Solid Waste Department, 61050 S.E. 27th Street, Bend, Oregon 97702.  Proposals should be addressed to Chad Centola, Operations Manager. Bids may be submitted in person, by mail, e-mail, or by facsimile and must be received by the Solid Waste Department by the due date and time specified above.
