REQUEST FOR BIDS
YARD DEBRIS & WOOD WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Deschutes County Department of Solid Waste is soliciting bids for the management of yard debris and wood waste received at the County’s rural transfer stations. The Contractor shall provide all staff, labor, tools, materials and equipment necessary for execution of the following:
- Periodic grinding of yard debris collected at the County’s rural transfer stations and transportation of ground material to Knott Landfill in Bend
- Periodic grinding and management of wood waste collected at the Negus Transfer Station in Redmond, OR. Ground material generated from wood waste grinding operations is to be utilized at an off-site facility arranged by the Contractor for remanufacturing, energy production or other approved utilization technologies. The Contractor shall transport ground wood waste to the Contractor’s designated facility.
The Request for Bids may be obtained or examined from Deschutes County Department of Solid Waste offices at the address listed below or viewed at https://www.deschutes.org/rfps.
Proposals must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Deschutes County Department of Solid Waste office, 61050 S.E. 27th Street, Bend, Oregon 97702. Proposals should be addressed to Todd Sween, Operations Manager. Proposals may be submitted in person, by mail at the address listed above or electronically to todd.sween@deschutes.org and must be received by the Department of Solid Waste by the due date and time specified above.
