Closure of Unauthorized Access Points on County-owned property

Access on US-97

On Wednesday, crews worked to close three unauthorized access points on County-owned property, two along US-97 and one just outside of Redmond.

Vehicles are still able to access County-owned property along US-97. Access points were closed due to significant concerns for public safety. The posted speed limit is 65 mph along this stretch of the highway, and it’s unsafe to have vehicles using multiple access points to get on and off the highway.

Vehicles are also still able to access County-owned property along Hwy 126 in Redmond through alternative nearby access points. The access point that was closed is located on a curve that limits visibility for all vehicles.
