RFP - Special Transportation Fund Discretionary Grant Program

Deschutes County is accepting proposals to the Special Transportation Fund (STF) Discretionary Program for the provision of transportation services benefiting seniors and people with disabilities. ApplicationĀ isĀ available in the Supporting Documents section toward the bottom of this page, or may be obtained by calling Judith Ure at (541) 330-4627 or sending a request by email to judithu@deschutes.org.

The STF Discretionary Program is limited to activities which support transportation for seniors and people with disabilities within Deschutes County. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the organizational, financial, and managerial capacity to administer a grant in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements. Eligible projects include those that deliver new and innovative ways to improve mobility for seniors and people with disabilities, including rides for wellness and improving access to travel information. Eligible expenses include transit operations, capital equipment, travel information, planning, and federal match. Please note that Deschutes County will not consider requests for vehicles or other capital purchases that require the County to hold title or act as a lien-holder to satisfy Oregon Department of Transportation requirements.

Completed applications must be submitted via email to judithu@deschutes.org no later 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016. Late applications will not be considered. Please do not submit applications directly to the Oregon Department of Transportation as indicated on the application form.
