Huntington Road and Deer Run Lane Project Begins

The Deschutes County Road Department has started work on a project to improve Huntington Road and Deer Run Lane in La Pine.

The project will include realigning the north and south intersections of Huntington Road with Riverview Drive and converting the gravel section of Huntington Road between those intersections to a paved, two-lane section, making Huntington Road the through route for north/south traffic. The project will also include converting the County-maintained gravel portion of Deer Run Lane to a paved, two-lane section.

During construction, these sections of Huntington Road and Deer Run Lane will be closed to through traffic. Additionally, the north and south intersections of Huntington Road with Riverview Drive will be temporarily closed in the late summer and early fall to allow for realignment of the intersections. Detour routes will be provided. The project is anticipated to be completed by September 29, 2017.
