Weekly Road Construction Update - August 18 to August 24

Projects Administered by Deschutes County:

Hamby Road School Zone Improvements (Bend Area) – Concrete work will occur along Hamby Road near Buckingham Elementary School for pedestrian ramp installations.

Traffic Information – There will be shoulder closures along Hamby Road while crews work. Road users should watch for construction vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the roadway. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Powell Butte Highway/Butler Market Road Intersection Improvement (Bend Area) –Street light installations and landscaping work will occur at the intersection of Powell Butte Highway and Butler Market Road. Shoulder work will also occur along Dickey Road between Butler Market Road and Nelson Road.

Traffic Information – The roundabout is now fully open to traffic, but crews continue to work in the area. Please use caution when navigating the new roundabout. Road users should anticipate intermittent shoulder closures, along with construction vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the roadway. Single lane closures facilitated by flaggers will also occur along Dickey Road during work hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Projects Administered by Other Agencies:

US 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation) – Demolition and excavation work will occur on 11^th Street in Terrebonne between US 97 and Smith Rock Way.

Traffic Information – 11th Street will be closed to through traffic between US 97 and Central Avenue. A designated detour route is in place via C Avenue, NW 16^th Street and F Avenue. Intermittent single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers may also occur between Central Avenue and Smith Rock Way during work hours. Access for local traffic will be maintained during construction.

Butler Market Road Closure (City of Bend) – Road work is occurring on Butler Market Road between Eagle Road and Clyde Lane.

Traffic Information – The westbound lane of Butler Market Road is closed to traffic between Eagle Road and Clyde Lane. A detour route for westbound traffic is in place via Hamehook Road and Deschutes Market Road.
