On Monday, Sept. 23, Deschutes County Clerk Steve Dennison recognized the winner of the  “I Voted” Sticker Contest for the 2024 General Election.

Important dates for the November 5, 2024 General Election

• For Candidates
  • 06/05/24    First day to file declaration of candidacy or nominating petition for local offices
  • 08/27/24    Last day for candidate to file for office
  • 08/29/24    Last day for candidate, who files candidacy with county clerk, to file statement for county voters' pamphlet.
  • 08/30/24    Last day to withdraw candidacy

The Deschutes County Clerk’s Office invites local middle and high school students to enter the 2024 “I Voted” Sticker Contest before the June 30 contest deadline.

Members of the public are invited to observe as the Deschutes County Clerk’s Office conducts the public certification test for the vote tally system prior to the May 21 Primary Election.

When:  Tuesday, May 7 at 9 a.m.

Where: Deschutes Services Building in Bend

The May 21, 2024 Primary Election is underway, and the Deschutes County Elections Office is sharing some important information with voters as they prepare to exercise their right to vote.

Para prepararse para la elección especial del 7 de noviembre, la oficina del Secretario pondrá a prueba el sistema de conteo de votos del condado el día 24 de octubre a las 9 a.m.

In preparation for the Nov. 7 Special Election, the Clerk’s Office will test the County’s vote counting system at 9 a.m. on Oct 24. 

The certification is conducted before each election and occurs at the County Clerk’s Office which is on the second floor of 1300 NW Wall Street, Suite 202 in Bend. Please RSVP in advance if you plan to attend.
