Weekly Road Construction Update - August 4 to August 10
Projects Administered by Deschutes County:
Chip Seal (Sisters Area) – Deschutes County crews will be chip sealing the following roads (weather permitting):
- 19th Street
- Morrill Road
- Mcgrath Road
- Boones Borough Drive
- Sylvan Loop
Traffic Information – Road users should anticipate single lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Powell Butte Highway/Butler Market Road Intersection Improvement (Bend Area) –Asphalt paving work will be occurring at the intersection of Powell Butte Highway and Butler Market Road.
Traffic Information – 24-hour flagging will be occurring along Powell Butte Highway for roundabout construction. Road users should use caution when navigating the new roundabout. The north entrance to the Bend Municipal Airport remains closed to traffic until August 8. Airport users can access the property from the south entrance. Butler Market Road between Powell Butte Highway and Dickey Road also remains closed during construction. A designated detour route is in place via Nelson Road and Dickey Road, with a posted speed limit of 35 MPH.
Paving of Old Bend Redmond Highway/S Canal Boulevard (Tumalo/Redmond Areas) – Final trimming and cleanup work will be occurring along Old Bend Redmond Highway and S Canal Boulevard.
Traffic Information – Intermittent single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers may occur during daytime hours. Road users should exercise caution.
Projects Administered by Other Agencies:
Butler Market Road Closure (City of Bend) – Road work is occurring on Butler Market Road between Eagle Road and Clyde Lane.
Traffic Information – The westbound lane of Butler Market Road is closed to traffic between Eagle Road and Clyde Lane. A detour route for westbound traffic is in place via Hamehook Road and Deschutes Market Road.
