Weekly Road Construction Update - July 14 to July 20

Chip Seal (Sisters Area) – Deschutes County crews will be chip sealing the following roads (weather permitting):

• McAllister Road
• Gist Road
• Varco Road
• East Cascade
• West Cascade
• Ponderosa Cascade Loop
• Cascade Way
• Ponderosa Cascade Drive
• Plainview Road

Traffic Information – Road users should anticipate single lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Powell Butte Highway/Butler Market Road Intersection Improvement (Bend Area) –Excavation and grading work will be occurring along Powell Butte Highway near Butler Market Road.

Traffic Information – 24-hour flagging will be occurring along Powell Butte Highway for roundabout construction. The north entrance to the Bend Municipal Airport will remain closed to traffic until August 8. Airport users can access the property from the south entrance. Cut-through traffic will not be allowed during the construction. Butler Market Road between Powell Butte Highway and Dickey Road is also closed during construction. A designated detour route is in place via Nelson Road and Dickey Road, with a posted speed limit of 35 MPH.

Old Bend Redmond Highway/S Canal Boulevard (Tumalo/Redmond Areas) – Installation of roadside delineators will be occurring along Old Bend Redmond Highway and S Canal Boulevard.

Traffic Information – Road users should expect single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Butler Market Road Closure (Bend Area) – The City of Bend is doing frontage improvements  along Butler Market Road between Eagle Road and Clyde Lane.

Traffic Information – The westbound lane of Butler Market Road is closed to traffic between Eagle Road and Clyde Lane until mid-August. A detour route for westbound traffic is in place via Hamehook Road and Deschutes Market Road.

Huntington Road & Burgess Road Utility Work (La Pine Area) – Utility work will be occurring along Huntington Road south of Burgess Road. Utility work will also be occurring along Burgess Road near Glenwood Road.

Traffic Information – Shoulder closures and single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers will be occurring on Burgess Road and Huntington Road. Road users should exercise caution and expect delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours.
