Family and Medical Leave
Employees often will need time away from work for many different types of personal situations. Whether it’s time off from work to take care for a new child, or deal with a serious health situation involving a family member or themselves, employees will need to request time off from their supervisor. Federal and State protected leave laws ensure that employees are granted time off for leave that is needed for a qualifying reasons.
The following pages will provide details on each type of protected leave, how to request time off, how to apply for leave benefits, and required forms that will need to be completed:
