Main Deschutes County Health Services building to reopen Monday

Deschutes County Health Services’ main building on NE Courtney Drive in Bend will reopen to the public on Monday, May 13. The building was closed on April 28 for air quality testing.

Initial test results showed intermittent readings of very low carbon monoxide levels in limited areas of the building that were well below established industry workplace safety standards.

“After extensive testing and consultation with both an air quality testing firm and mechanical engineer, we've determined that the building is safe for occupancy by both staff and clients,” said Lee Randall, Deschutes County’s Facilities Director. “We are also continuing to finalize plans to redesign and replace the building’s heating system.”
