Living with HIV

Undetectable = Untransmittable

HIV Treatment Saves Lives

Today Oregonians living with HIV are living longer, healthier lives with the help of HIV medications. For people who do learn they have HIV, there are a number of free resources available to help them find a medical provider and get the help, support, and medications they need.

Undetectable = Untransmittable

People who take daily HIV treatment, as prescribed, can maintain an undetectable viral load. If you are living with HIV, having an undetectable viral load level means that the amount of HIV in your blood is so low it can’t be measured. People living with HIV (PLWH) who take HIV medicine as prescribed and get and keep an undetectable viral load have effectively no risk of transmitting HIV to their HIV-negative sexual partners.
