The Deschutes County Health Services influenza outbreak toolkit for childcare facilities and schools includes a variety of resources and tools to use when your school or facility is experiencing a flu outbreak. The toolkit includes a case log; information on specimen collection; education materials for staff, parents, and students; information on cleaning and disinfecting; general information about flu; and vaccine promotion information.
This fact sheet provides information on cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing surfaces to help prevent and/or slow the spread of influenza. This information is useful for staff who do environmental cleaning or are responsible for removing waste from your school or childcare facility.
