Proposal Summary

The applicant requests approval of a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the designation of the subject property from Forest to Rural Residential Exception Area (RREA) and a corresponding Zone Change to rezone the subject property from Forest Use 2 (F2) to Multiple-Use Agricultural (MUA). The total area subject to the request is 58 acres. 

The applicant states that the purpose of this request is to ultimately be brought into the City of Sisters Urban Growth Boundary so the applicant can develop a needed housing residential development that has 30% NET developed units that meet a definition of affordable housing to meet the City's future housing needs. However, this application request does not include a request to expand the City of Sisters UGB.

Proposal Status

The applications were submitted on December 24, 2024. Notice of Application was mailed to agencies and property owners within 750 feet on January 3, 2025.

**Please note the Notice of Application states a proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment designation of Urban Reserve; however, the applicant submitted a revised narrative dated January 9, 2025 clarifying the request for a Rural Residential Exception Area (RREA) designation which corresponds to the requested zone change to MUA. 

Future public hearing dates are to be determined but will be posted here as soon as they are known.
