Proposal Status
The applications were received by the Planning Division on July 13, 2022. A public hearing was conducted by a Deschutes County Hearings Officer on March 21, 2023. In June 2023, the Hearings Officer's recommended denial of the applicant's request unless the Applicant demonstrates the requested Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Zone Change are consistent with Statewide Planning Goal 5.
The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) conducted a second hearing on June 12, 2024 and established the following written record open period:
- New Evidence & Testimony - Deadline: Wednesday, August 14 at 4pm
- Rebuttal Evidence & Testimony - Deadline: Wednesday, September 4 at 4pm
- Final Argument (Applicant Only) - Deadline: Wednesday, September 18 at 4pm
