What to do after permit issuance
What do I do after my permit is issued?
After a permit issues, follow the next steps to ensure you are on track with the permit process.
- Confirm all permit fees are paid. If a structural permit has associated mechanical, electrical or plumbing permits, these separate permits must be paid individually online through Oregon ePermitting. Link to Oregon ePermitting
- Download approved plans from Oregon ePermitting.
- Send plans to your printing company of choice, to be printed in color and to scale. Minimum page size 11x17 and must be onsite for inspections.
- Review permits to verify Contractor listed on the permit is correct.
- Proceed with development per approved permits. Be sure to schedule inspections as required. Link to inspection requirements page
- Confirm all permits receive an approved final inspection at the end of the project.
- Some projects require an insulation certificate to be uploaded.
- Related permits for onsite/septic, mechanical, electrical or plumbing must also have final approved inspections, otherwise this can prevent the structural permit from closing.
- If development changes, and the building deviates from the approved plans, you will need to submit a revision. Link to revision requirements
- Deschutes County has the right to rescind a supplemental mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and demolition permits that may require additional information.
